I have created a new artwork to honour the commemoration by the Greek Orthodox Church on every March 25 of the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she will give birth to Jesus.
I will offer this hand-made embroidery to His Beatitude the Metropolitan Anthimos of the City of Thessaloniki.
In a few words, here is my impression about the event:
"Our Lady Virgin Mary’s elevation by God, the Creator, to become the Mother of His only begotten son Jesus Christ is a proof of God's love, as is the advent of our lord Jesus Christ into this vain and troubled world where he came to teach us truth and love and also to express goodness towards our fellow man."
